Vancouver, BC, July 26, 2017 – Cariboo Rose Resources Ltd. (TSX-V: CRB) (“Cariboo Rose”) is pleased to announce that the Canadian Creek Project in the Yukon Territory has been progressing well. Crews have been putting in in-fill lines in existing multi-element (arsenic-gold-antimony) soil anomalies to better detail the trends of possible structures within the anomalies. To date, results have been received for sampling on the Malt West and one of the Kana area targets and these results confirm the continuity of these robust anomalies. The anomalies in these areas have been traced for 0.8 to 1.5 km along strike forming only a small portion of the overall anomalous areas.
The geochemical anomalies and magnetic signatures from previous geophysical surveys are being used to locate drill stations for the upcoming drilling program, expected to begin in the first week of August. Several drill pads have been constructed and this work is continuing.
The Canadian Creek property is located approximately 160 kilometres south of the City of Dawson. It abuts Western Copper and Gold Corp’s (TSX: WRN) Casino porphyry copper-gold-molybdenum property on the east and lies 25 kilometres southeast of the main gold mineralization on Goldcorp Inc.’s (TSX:G, NASDAQ: GG) Coffee property and is contiguous with the southern boundary of the Goldcorp property. Work completed between 2009 and 2016 at Canadian Creek confirmed geology, geochemistry and alteration that is consistent with newly discovered gold mineralization at Coffee and other nearby properties, while work previous to 2009 focused on Casino-type porphyry copper-gold-molybdenum mineralization which successfully identified two significant target areas on the southern half of the property.
Both Coffee (Goldcorp) and Casino (Western Copper and Gold) have published multimillion ounce gold resources. Other active programs in the area are being undertaken by several companies with particularly large programs being undertaken by White Gold Corp. (TSX-V: WGO) including one on the nearby Betty property.
